GREAVES, EDWARD RICHARDEdward Richard Greaves, of Indianapolis, died July 8, 2009. He was born on August 13, 1947 in Hamilton, Ohio. Edward was a graduate of North Central High School, class of 1965. He served honorably in the Army as a medic during the Vietnam War. He was a member of MENSA with a keen interest in science. He is survived by his mother Lillian Oancea, brother Damion Oancea, and nieces Hallie Anne Day and Sarah Oancea. He was preceded in death by sister Marie Louise Pike, father Arthur E. Greaves and stepfather Leon Oancea. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Marion National Cemetery on July 13, 2009 at 1:00PM.

Damion, your brother was a true friend to me. Dick and I shared so much of our lives together and I am so glad that we knew each other. We shared 5 different decades from the 60’s until 2009. You know and I know he was a special person. I will truely miss him and I’m so fortunate to have known him. Although he was very private in some ways Dick would confide a lot to me. The service today was extremely nice and I’m so glad I was there to share it with you and your family. I tru
